Robotics & Coding Event | May 19, 2018 

 

Brown Girls in Tech in partnership with The Links, Incorporated- Augusta (GA) Chapter and NSBE  leveraged their common efforts, respective resources, and expertise to promote and facilitate its first Robotics & Coding Event.  "Chrome Supremacy" (National Robotics Champions), NSBE Jr. VEX Robotics Team of Orangeburg, SC conducted a Robotics Demo for the participants and local community.

This event marked the end of year program for "GWC Engineers Class, Girls Who Code Downtown Augusta Club". GWC Engineers are made up of twenty-two brown girls, ages 10-18 from various schools throughout the CSRA. During the event, the girls presented their Computer Science Impact Project on "Cyberbullying Prevention". Each girl also received special recognition and Brown Girls Code was launched. 

Bi-Monthly Club Meetings

 

We had a great year! We learned how to code and we built great friendships along the way. We can't wait to do it again next year. If you are interested in joining us, follow our facebook page for the invite to apply this Fall. Until then, let's crack down on cyberbullying!
